May 20, 2002The First Ever LEGACY OF HOPE to Benefit the Susie Q Foundation is set for Thursday, October 3, 2002. This night-to-remember serves two purposes: FUN-Raiser and FUND-Raiser! The LEGACY OF HOPE will be held at the beautiful new Omaha Botanical Gardens. Please Contact the Foundation if you have questions about this event or to donate auction items.
May 20, 2002Planning for the Second Annual: Susanna M. Kocsis Memorial GO PLAY Tennis Day is underway. This event will be held in the late-fall to early-winter timeframe.

October 16, 2001A joyous celebration that announced the Susie Q Foundation was held on Tuesday, October 16, 2001 to correlate with October's Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Mike Kelly, World-Herald columnist was the eminent Master of Ceremonies. It was held at:

October 16, 2001This celebration also featured the launching of Sue's book "Medicine for the Spirit - From A to Y". Local television station WOWT created a beautiful feature article about Sue's book for their evening newscast.
October 7, 2001The First Ever: Susanna M. Kocsis Memorial GO PLAY Tennis Day. This was a day to get away and play, all while raising money for the Foundation. This Fun Day was held at:Koch Family Tennis Center at Tranquility Park.
September 12, 2001The Omaha Community Foundation has released their annual report for the year 2000. They are featuring an article about the Susie Q Foundation. Check out the 2000 Annual Report (you'll need Adobe Acrobat).

December 5, 2000The birth of Susie Q Foundation. This foundation was established in honor of Susanna M. Kocsis, or "Susie Q" to many people. Its purpose is simple: to raise money in support of individuals and families affected by cancer. By design, both the Susie Q Foundation and "Susie Q" share the same birthday!
